Olympia Figure Skating Club Achievements

 

Olympia FSC is proud to have produced 2 British Novice Champions, a Scottish Junior Champion, a Silver British Junion Medalist and an ISU Novice International Medalist also we have several members on the GB development squad.

SHEFFIELD JANUARY 2012

Coaches Lorraine and Leanne along with some of our members that where chosen to be Flower girls at the European Figure Skating Championships, held at Sheffield in January 2012.

Well done Girls and a Great time was had by all that attended.

 

 

Olympia Figure Skating Club is based in East Kilbride and was formed in 2000 to promote the development of amateur figure skating in our area.  We now have approximately 50 members with skaters of all abilities from beginners to British Championship level.

 

 

 

 

 

Going For Gold

 

 

IJS Lee Valley 2010

Well done to Lana Bagen who competed this week in the Novice Ladies and Junior Ladies event, resulting in her first Gold Medal at Novice Ladies.

Lana competed in the Junior Ladies event first, finishing 4th in her short program and 2nd in her free program resulting in 4th overall for this event. 

Next was the Novice Ladies event, Lana skated excellently in her short program finishing 1st and then skated to gold in her free program with another excellent skate finishing 1st.

NISA Cup Success

Well done to Catherine Dorans and Molly Potter who were part of the winning Scotland Team who took home the trophy at the Nisa Cup Final in Aberdeen.

Catherine skated in Level 7 finishing 8th and Molly skated in Level 8 finishing 5th.

It was a great day and many of the club members went along to show their support.
